Phnom Penh (FN), October 23 – According to a press release seen by Fresh News on Saturday, the Royal Government of Cambodia has decided to lift the temporary suspension of direct flights from Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines.

The decision came after Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen advised relevant ministries and institutions on October 22, 2021, to consider the possibility of resuming flights with some ASEAN member countries.

Cambodian and foreign investors, technical staff, officers in charge of official development projects, diplomats, and government officials (including their family members) returning to Cambodia after a mission abroad will be quarantined for only three days.

Cambodians and foreign visitors, in general, will be quarantined for seven days; those who have not yet been fully vaccinated will be quarantined for fourteen days.

Cambodia will permit air travelers from Thailand to enter the country without being quarantined.

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen has announced that Thais and foreign visitors in Thailand will be able to fly into the country without being quarantined.

Hun Sen instructed the ministers of tourism and foreign affairs during a Council of Ministers meeting last week, according to a voice recording shared on a government Telegram group, vodenglish.news reported.

The Thai government announced on October 21 that vaccinated arrivals from 46 countries, including Cambodia, will not be subject to quarantine beginning November 1.

Cambodia will permit air travelers from Thailand to enter the country without being quarantined.

He also stated that flights from Thailand, including those transiting through the country, should be reopened because there is a principle of one visa valid in both countries.

In addition, the PM stated that Cambodia would resume flights from Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines in an effort to reopen the country.

Cambodia currently only receives passenger flights from China, Singapore, and the Republic of Korea.
