Private Floating Villages and Leather Carving Tour

Choose your time whether you want to start your tour for the morning or afternoon tour.

Whether morning or afternoon, your tour will begin from the hotel at the arranged time. Your guide and driver will pick you up and drive you to the village called Kampong Phluk which is located about 28km east of town.

On your way, you will be stopped off at the local market of Rolous commune along the way for a quick glimpse and visit to the authentic local daily lives before carrying on your journey to the pier.

This tour is an eye-opening experience where you will explore the biggest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia. While on boarding, your guide will start explaining about the locals daily lives, how they live and how they make their living everyday.

Along the boat ride, you will see the unique picturesques of similar stilt-houses, floating school, markets and crocodile farms.
Remember that those frequently move from place to place due to the season.

After boarding the local motor boat, you will also take the small canoe rowing into the flooded forest to spot some wild monkeys and birds.

Before returning back to town, your tour guide will bring you to visit the Leather Carving Organization to admire their amazing job to keep alive one of Cambodia’s most famous traditions: making the leather puppets used for Sbek Thom, or shadow puppet theater, which is one of Cambodia’s most famous artforms and is on the Unesco List of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
