Itinerary in Details
Upon arrival at Siem Reap International Airport, you will be welcomed by your driver and transferred to your hotel for check-in.
At the hotel, you will be greeted by one of our management team and it is the opportunity to go through your itinerary again before it gets started.
At 4pm, your local guide will pick you up from your hotel to show you around the city hub and nightlife on foot for 2 hours. It will be a great opportunity for you to experience the Street food and cuisines that Siem Reap has to offer.
After the tour, we will leave it up to you if you wish to walk back to the hotel with your guide or he can just abandon you to explore the city at your own time.
Today you will be picked up and transferred to ‘Phokeethra Golf & Country Club’ one hour before your tee time, giving you plenty of time to get ready for your round.
The Phokeethra Country Club was the first true international standard golf course to open in Cambodia in 2007. For four years it staged the Asian PGA tour event Johnnie Walker Cambodian Open. The course is designed to championship standard and will test your strategic skills. Water comes into play on all but one hole, plus the final hole requires players to negotiate a double water carry.
After your round, you will be picked up and transferred back to your hotel.
Today you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to ‘Angkor Golf Resort’ one hour before your tee time, giving you plenty of time to get ready for your round.
The Sir Nick Faldo designed Angkor Golf Resort opened in January 2008. Since then it has been in the top 3 best maintained courses in Asia. It is without doubt the finest golf course in Cambodia, and any keen golfer visiting Siem Reap should play at least one round here. A challenging but fair layout; always presented in immaculate condition. A variety of tee-boxes ensure players of different abilities enjoy their game. Strategically placed bunkers and water hazards will keep you thinking throughout your round.
After your game, you will be picked up and transferred back to your hotel.
This morning, you will leave Siem Reap behind and travel onward to Cambodia’s capital city – Phnom Penh. Along the way, you will stop briefly in Skuon (commonly known as ‘Spiderville’). There, if your stomach permits it, you will be able to try the local delicacy of deep fried tarantula!.
Upon your arrival in Phnom Penh, you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in.
You then visit Wat Phnom, symbol of the city, before heading visit The Royal Palace complex and attached ‘Silver Pagoda’ compound consisting of several buildings, structures and gardens all located within 500×800 metre walled grounds overlooking a riverfront park. Marking the approach to the Palace, the high sculpted wall and golden spired Chanchhaya Pavilion stand distinctively against the riverfront skyline.
Inside the Palace grounds, street sounds are silenced by the high walls and the various Royal buildings sit like ornate islands rising from the tranquil, manicured tropical gardens. The silver pagoda is often called the Pagoda of the Emerald Buddha or Wat Preah Kaew.
We pass Phnom Penh train station before winding our way down to Psar Thmei, the leading market in the city. We then snake through some of the smaller back streets, including 178 St, brimming with art shops, and Bohemian 240 St with its cafes and boutiques.
We pass Independence Monument, modelled on the central tower of Angkor Wat and to the elegant riverfront.
Today, you will be picked up and transferred to the ‘Grand Phnom Phnom Golf Club’ one and a half hours before your tee time, giving you plenty of time to get ready for your round.
Grand Phnom Penh Golf Club is a private members golf course designed by Nicklaus Design. The course is without doubt one of the finest in Phnom Penh with immaculate fairways and manicured precise greens. Generous from the tee but challenging around the greens, the true test is provided when the wind blows as the course is quite exposed.
After your round, we will transfer you back to your hotel and you are then free for the remainder of the day.
Today, you will be picked up and transferred to the ‘Vattanac Golf Club’ one and a half hours before your tee time, giving you plenty of time to get ready for your round.
The second Nilk Faldo course to open in Cambodia is a serious contender to the excellent Angkor Golf Resort. The par-72 East Course plays to over 7,400 yards and through scale models of pre-Angkorean structures including Preah Vihear Temple, Bayon Temple, and Angkor Wat. The design makes a unique combination of culture, leisure, and golf. Teeing areas provide for good views over the surrounding countryside and from the high points on the course. Vattanac is grassed with the latest Paspalum variety which ensures good golf conditions. Water comes into play on most holes, and the lack of elevation change is more than made up for in mounding, bunker complexes, and extensive landscaping.
After the game, you’ll get picked up and transferred back to the hotel for your rest.
Today you are free until you get picked up from the hotel and transfer to the airport with plenty of time before your departing flight back home.
