Description
Your amazing day is to begin at 7am from your hotel. Today you start your journey to discover one of The World Heritage Sites of Angkor Wat. Built in the 12th century during the powerful Khmer Empire, the marvellous Angkor Wat is widely famed for its unrivalled masterpieces and unique architectures.
Listed as one of the UNESCO world heritage sites in 1992, Angkor Wat is the major tourist destination. Angkor Wat annually attracts more than 2 million tourists worldwide to visit the majestic complex.
After visiting Angkor Wat, you will then carry on your journey to explore the 54 faces temple of Bayon.
The Bayon is a richly decorated Khmer Buddhist and the earlier Hindu temple at Angkor in Cambodia. The Bayon lies in the center of Jayavarman’s capital, Angkor Thom and is developed in the late 12th or early 13th centuries as the State temple of the Mahayana Buddhism King Jayavarman VII.
Before we move on to the signature tour of today, your guide will bring you lunch at Salaroussey Restaurant.
Next, you may have seen the Lara Croft and Tomb Raider movie that shot its film in Siem Reap, Cambodia and had pushed the fame of Ta Prohm Temple into cinema around the globe in 2001.
Ta Prohm is on the short Angkor circuit and just a few minutes from Angkor Wat or Angkor Thom in a tuk-tuk.
The main structures of the temple are rounded off by a massive wall and are thus not visible from the road immediately but are found on a little trail in a forest.
By bike, the paths in the Angkor jungle and the less-used doors you will take the most amazing means of coming to this temple. The route through the forest pathways is a skilled bike guide, but it is a lovely way to explore the environment and go inside the temple.
