Itinerary in Details

Upon arrival at the terminal exit of Siem Reap International Airport, you will be greeted by your chauffeur and transported to your hotel for check-in. At the hotel, you will be greeted by one of our management team, and it is the opportunity to go through your itinerary again before it gets started.

At 8am, we discover the Cambodian countryside by bike specially designed for families with children. Our guide knows the best tracks for an enjoyable tour that allow you to see rural life. The Mountain Bikes can be equipped with baby seats and also bikes for children that fit all sizes. After the tour, we will be back to your hotel and have the afternoon free.

This morning, you will get picked up to the place where the call began, where in 802 AD. Jayavaraman II crowned himself god king. Rich in history Phnom Kulen is where the “Age of Angkor” and is one of only two places in Cambodia where Buddha is reputed to have set his foot. You will visit a scenic waterfall and a giant reclining Buddha; these are parts of a standard trip here. In addition, we push on further exploring kilometres of complex back trails, deep jungle trek and hidden temples including the stunning and sought-after stone elephant and lion statues.

We depart town as we venture towards an unspoiled floating community called Kampong Phluk; known for its stilted-house villages and flooded forest. Along the way, we will stop to have a look around the Rolous Market. This is a great chance to glimpse the everyday life of locals selling indigenously grown vegetables, different fish species and other local produce. We will also see one of the bridges on the Rolous River, built during French dominance in Cambodia.

We then board a boat and begin sailing down the river, eventually arriving at the floating community of Kampong Phluk where we will experience a truly unique way of life. In this community, you will notice schools and homes standing on 8 to 10m high stilts and fish farms and an island pagoda. As we venture beyond the villages, we will head into the flooded forest, home to Cambodia’s water-bird species. The boat will then set off for the largest freshwater lake in SE Asia, Tonle Sap. On the lake, we will explore the surroundings. We are next, heading back to the mainland and returning you to your hotel for your lunch and the rest of the afternoon free.

Early rising at 8 am you travel by vehicle into the riddle of Bayon’s intriguing temple. We can escape the throngs and see the temple most quietly by starting our journey here. Situated in the precise center of Angkor Thom, this temple is an embodiment of Cambodia’s most famous king’s artistic talent and inflated ego. Each of their 54 towers has the four faces of Avalokiteshvara (Buddha of Compassion) which have more than the similarity with the King himself. These huge heads look down at each other with a tinge of compassion radiating strength and control precisely the combination that is necessary to hold a large empire.

You will continue exploring through the walled town of Angkor Thom, King Jayavarman VII’s masterwork. The new monarch resolved to create an inexpugnable castle in the center of his realm, following Angkor’s occupancy by the Chams from 1177 to 1181. A difficult bridge shows the ocean of milk from Hindu mythology where devas (Gods) and asuras(Devils) play a tug of war over the elixir of Immortality with a naga (seven-headed snake).

Our next visit within Angkor Thom is Leper King’s Terrace. This sketchy platform was the Royal Crematorium, and now Yama, the deity of death was supposed to be the statue formerly assumed to be the leprosy King. We go down the Elephants Terrace, which was previously utilized as the king’s gallery for shows and traditional sports.

The Baphuon, a temple of Angkor, erected during Udiayavarman’s reign in the XI century, is at the southern end. It was massively refurbished and is open to visit again presently.

You will alongside go to Angkor Wat, the Mother of all temples, which was estimated to be the largest religious building in the world. The temple is the perfect merger of symbolism and symmetry and is a tremendous source of pride for the Khmer people. First, we disclose the mysteries of bas-reliefs telling the legends of Hindu mythology and Khmer kingdom triumphs. These complex sculptures, covering approximately one kilometer, are a candidate for the longest and unbroken work of art in the world. After the devoted and destructive stages before us, we next go on to the top levels of the inner sanctuary.

The last stairs into Angkor’s topmost terrasse are the steepest of all, as old pilgrims were about to journey to meet the Gods. We approach ultimately the peak and holy center of Angkor Wat, so exquisite that a few minutes measure the combination of spirituality and symmetry. We next proceed to the temple of Ta Prohm, the building left to the elements.

The temple serves as a strong reminder of the fact that the riotous might of nature, ignoring the tragedies of human history, walks up and down during empires. The tentacles like tree roots are slowly squeaking out the surviving stones that nature first conquered, as it was “found” by the Franco-explorer Henri Mouhot in 1860.

We next stop at the local restaurant for a late lunch (Lunch is for our guests) and continue our final temple – Banteay Kdei. The name refers to the ‘Citadel of Chambers,’ which exists on a single level, and the towers and passageways and their exquisite sculptures may be extensively explored. Since its initial ideas producing a little deficiency in its design, the building of the temple has modified several times. The ultimate result of the temple, though, is wonderful. Banteay Kdei gives a quiet finale to our trip, as it’s significantly less trafficked than its neighboring prominent attractions.

In the morning, you’ll get picked up from your hotel to Angkor Zipline. We will make you feel like gibbons as you fly for your treetop adventure. With 10 ziplines, 4 hanging bridges, 21 platform stations and a 50-metre rappel descent, you are sure to have an adrenaline adventure to remember.

For lunch, everyone will meet at the zipline and the staff will take you for lunch at their restaurant. Afterwards, everyone will be transferred to your hotel to enjoy their rest.

At night time, you will have time to walk around and visit The Night Market where you can go souvenir shopping for your friends and family.

Today you are free until we pick you up from the hotel to Siem Reap International Airport with plenty of time before your departing flight back home.
